So in the past few months I've spent some time reading as many riding books as I can get my hands on. While they've all been helpful or interesting in one way or another, these are the top ones:

I also watched the [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Twist-Wrist-II-Keith-Code/dp/B002ZVAUW0]Twist of the Wrist II DVD[/ame]. The movie is fun and corny enough that it makes a great DVD to watch with your riding buddies.

I especially liked Proficient Motorcycling; there's a lot of thought-provoking discussion in there and the book also focuses a lot on making you responsible for your own riding and not blaming other people, road conditions or bike setup. Fantastic.

Anything else to add here?

I have read (a couple times) Sport Riding Techniques from Ienatsch, and just got the Twist of The Wrist II video from a friend. Plan on watching it this weekend. Haven't seen the other one before, but there certainly is nothing wrong with as many different perspectives on a subject as possible.

"The more you learn, the more you know"...as someone has said before.

Thanks for those titles! I will have to check out the ones from Hough. (even though the bikes on his covers are cruisers...probably Hardleys to hope to appeal to those uneducated apes!

I have the Twist of the Wrist II on DVD. While the acting is a little corny, the info is actually pretty good. I probably watched it 10 times already. At my age I need to see things over and over for it to sink in!:)

The things he talks about in the book apply to all bikes and he often uses different types of bikes in his examples. It's a fun and very entertaining book(s)

Of all those [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Sport-Riding-Techniques-Develop-Confidence/dp/1893618072]Sport Riding Techniques - Nick Ienatsch[/ame] is my favorite.

I did watch the Code video this last weekend. Corny acting, but worthwhile tips, pointers, etc.

If taken with a grain of salt (a little lick of lime, and a shot of tequila!) there is knowledge to be gained.
