Race Tech Spacer Help

I am planning on installing some .95 Race Tech springs tomorrow. I am reading through all the threads and watching some videos tonight. I have learned a lot, but I am still not clear on the spacer length.

I think I am supposed to make sure the RaceTech spring, spacer, and washers are the same length as the OEM spring and spacer (NOT including the nut at the top)

I would just like a simple answer to this question. I have a 2002 FZ1.

I got it done today. Ironically, the part that gave me the most trouble was one of the oil seal retainer rings. I could not get that thing out. The second one, popped right out.

It took me a while to do, but the next time I do it, it will be much faster I think.
