Has anyone tried an R1 shock,linkage and swinging arm,if so what year and does it bolt straight in.Thanks

Well I can assure you that it doesn't bolt "straight in". Some folks have installed 04-06 R1 shocks with adapters, but again these are not straight bolt-on mods. If you can afford it you're better off with the proper aftermarket shock designed for the FZ1
