This question is for those of you that have performed the 2007/08 R1 fork mod along with R6/R1 Master cylinder.

What brake lines did you use?

I used my FZ1 Hel brake lines but I reckon they may be a little too short.

Did you guys use longer FZ1 lines or longer R1 lines?

On both ride I run my lines in a roadracing set up, in that they run on the outside of the fork legs. I had a set of R1 lines made with the top line about 2 inches longer, and the bottom lines 2 inches longer. That way they form a nice arc on the outside of the leg.

I don't have photos right now but look up photos of my R6.

Speigler makes a nice Rennsport kit ready to go. All you'd need is the top line lengthened.

The r1 forks are shorter thanthe stock FZ. The biggest difference between the lines is it bend on the banjos off the master but it doesnt really seem to matter with the extraa lenght the the FZ lines.

I don't like the bend in the lines from the MC and the lines are a tad too tight for my liking.
If you do wheelies or the suspension extends fully, I'm worried that I may be stretching the lines.
I reckon I might do as Hellgate suggested and get 2" longer R1 lines.

I went with Fren-Tubo lines and kept the splitter setup because on a naked it looks more tidy only having 1 line to the mastercylinder instead of a double banjo, the single line from the splitter i had them make it 50mm longer for my Rizoma risers & bar setup.
