Question about Yoshimura exhaust

I recently installed a Yoshimura TRC carbon fiber exhaust on my 09 FZ1 and have an interesting observation/question about the silencer insert. As new the insert was black, after installing it in the exhaust it turned from black to red to gold and is now staying gold. Has anybody else noticed this? It isn't a big deal, I'm just wondering if it is normal for the silencer insert to change color after use?

Yes, I noticed the same thing on my Yosh R-77 and I think it's just the coating on the insert that changed color when exposed to the exhaust heat. If I remember correctly that end part seemed to be anodized aluminum.

yes me too, the insert of my trc is gold.it 's normal

I don't know what color my insert is. I'd have to check the landfill.....

When it changes to green with pink polkadots, then you are in big trouble.
