For the 45mins that I was at home before I had to return. Showing that I STILL have the bike and I'm READY to finish!

Well, i have no choice but to finish because we are selling the house.....progress to be made again here in the next week or so.....stay tuned for the LOOOOOOOOOOOONG awaited unveiling!

Adam! You ARE still working on the bike?!?!? I know life got in the way but it will be nice to see this bike back on two wheels and running. :D Keep us posted!!

Progress WILL be made this week, for I'm downloading all the pictures and getting ready to head back to Albuquerque. I have to move most of the items remaining in our house for paint, and then spend the rest of the time putting her back together, FINALLY!!!!!

updated progress shots will resume.....

jet kit installed (had a bugger of a time getting the carbs back in. Airbox mod in the AM. P/U steering with new lower race installed (thought it'd be easier than doing what you did Tony to Billy's, and it was only 20.00).

I guess I ended up tossing one of the clamps for the carb boots (outstide right) anyone have a replacement, or is it partshark??

off to bed....

It's looking great Adam! Nice job so far. I'm sure you can pick up one of those narrow clamps and any major auto parts store rather than have to wait on OEM stuff and also pay shipping for a tiny part like that.

Oh, and I always try NOT to use a hammer when I'm working on my bike!

hammer was for the outer races for the steering. It is also used for the spacer when installing rear tire.

Well, I just about lost the bike this evening as it fell off of the rear stand as I was putting the tire on, thankfully saved. However, I cannot get the axel through on the left side. The right has plenty of clearance, the the left is barely clearing.

I've had just about enough for today and going to have to start working on emptying the house to make way for the making the final move. I was hoping to get everything assembled and ready for fluids, but not going to happen today.....

Getting closer... I had mine dump off the rear stand while installing the front wheel after a tire change. I had yet to put the rear wheel on. I had to install the rear wheel while she lay on her side just to be able to up right her.:spank2:

got the rear tire on, but the chain is TIGHT. It almost could use another link.

guess I changed the geometry somewhere when I had it all apart. Anyone have any suggestions as to a solution?

I'm officially done for the evening now!

Being that they are fixed points of attachment, do you think there is that much play?

I will have to vistis another time for I'm buried with throwing out all the old junk in the house in preperation for the final move.

I unbolted all the mounting points and got the much needed slack i was after.

Im happy to report that @10:03, Wednesday evening, my garage gave birth to a sound that has been lacking for many months. Just a few more things to do, and i may get a little spin in before i leave tomorrow.

Pictures coming shortly!
