I agree totally. If they want to pay me or give me a discount then I'll wear shirts and have stickers advertising companies.

The marketing person that thought up the idea of giving away stickers to get free advertising was smart. The marketing person that thought up the idea of selling shirts for lots of $$$ that advertise their product was a genius.....now you pay to advertise their product!!

I couldn't agree more. Harley Davidson has a bunch of loyal suckers, if you ask me. I love the fact that people that dream of owning a Harley piss their money away on t-shirts and other crap to show their loyalty to a product they don't even own or never have.

I just went on a ride this past Sunday with a small group. The guy who invited me had a blue '09 FZ1, but traded it on a '12 Raider so his wife would be more comfortable on the back. Anyway, he was wearing an HD do-rag on his Yamaha Raider. I was embarrassed for him. :wilynily:

Anyway, I've seen some bikes with lots of stickers, and have liked a few, but I just don't think I could put any on mine. If you get a full fairing, then maybe, but as is, I had to vote no stickers. (Sorry Gary and Billy... I really did like that black '01 with the full fairing and all those stickers)

As some others have said, on track bikes I'll put some stickers on of the goodies I've got or to cover scratches. But street bikes I keep clean and clutter free.

Here's where all the rest of my stickers go.

No need to apologize Troy. Nothing offends me brother. I voted for "no stickers" as well. Like some others have said, on a fully faired bike I like some decals, but on a naked it's just too much.

One side note: I have never in my life, ever bought a product because I've seen it on some tee shirt or decal on a car or bike, never. I have a super simple mind. If I see a decal or tee shirt I like, I wear it or apply it, plain and simple. If someone wants to pay me for showing it fine, if not, thats fine too. I couldn't care less.

Actually, I wear only expensive gear that says Yoshimura all over it it, and I added some stickers to my bike for the extra horsepower.

I ain't no squid, I've only been riding for 1.5 months now, and I can already do wheelies, and go very fast in a straight line! That's why my first bike ever was a liter bike, 'cause I'm awesome like that.

I'm personally a no decal guy. In fact I have mine stripped of all FZ-1 and Yamaha badges. The only thing I have left is the clutch cover 'YAMAHA'. Looking for a way to rid myself of that and re-brand the bike with a totally different car manufacturer that doesn't even make bikes.

I almost toyed with the idea of making it a BMW bike to mess with people, but most of those owners seem like pretentious pricks when I meet them, so I don't want that association.

I'm going with a manufacturer that is associated with pretentious, but nice, pricks.

Man! I really know what you mean! The type people that are associated with certain machines really does affect my desire for wanting one of those machines.

Years ago ago it was not that way so much - you just rode what you could lay your hands on. Now, there is so much elitism with certain brands that I am almost completely turned off certain brands - due to the snobs that "use" that brand. Don't want to be at all associated with them - or it.
And what's funny is that I can multiple afford any of them - but don't want to be associated with the snobs or their brands.
