Power commander placement???

Has anyone mounted their power commander in the section under the EXUP area? When I have my seat off I can see a pretty empty area under it in front of the battery area. If not any other places you guys putting them? thanks for your time.

I have mine under the tail section where the OE tools usually go. I have aftermarket tools that are much smaller so I have plenty of room for the PC.
 
My PCV is placed between the battery section and pillion seat section, under the support strut. It's never in the way and I have easy access to it. (attached with velcro)

That's exactly where I mounted my PC V from the very beginning. And now that I also installed the EXUP servo eliminator it's very easy to access it.
 
After I removed the exup I put my pcIII in that spot with a custom shelf that uses the exup servo motor space and mounting points. Nice and easy to access and I also have the igniton control module mounted on top of my pcIII. No problems and I left my tools in the original location.
 
Just found a pic I had taken. As you can see there's plenty of room in there for it, especially if you eliminate the EXUP servo motor. Even with the servo in place it still fits. I used Velcro on the bottom of it to attach it in place.

I still have my EXUp controller, tool kit, and a spare set of gloves under my seats. The power comander is so small a light that if you wrap some insulation aroind it, it will slide in almost anyware. If it is in the way you just slide it over, slide it out or ??. No reason to hard mount it. I have had mine for two years with no damage. :2cents:
