Performance Bikes FZ1 Long Termer

I've just received this months issue of Performance Bikes magazine and have noticed that they're running an FZ1n as a long term test bike this year.

The guy who's running the FZ1 is Mark White who currently has what's probably the most sorted '03 R1 about. It's got it's own huge thread on the R1 forum here:

Headwork Winter Project : Yamaha R1 Forum

It'll be interesting to see what Mark manages to do with the FZ1, his initial thoughts were:

"the first ride revealed a quality chassis"

"There was a vague feeling from the front end which most nakeds suffer from, but that soon improved when the standard D221's were swapped for Sportsmarts."

"The engine is fantastic. I honestly wouldn't change a thing and I surprise myself when I say that as I'm normally all for more power."

His overall plan for the summer is:

"I don't want to give too much away but do a Google search for Abarth FZ1"

This sounds very promising and could lead to some interesting mods over the coming year.
I'll try and keep this thread updated with what happens with the bike and try to scan and post the articles if I can get access to a scanner
