Official YZF Makeover Thread

Today at work I had the "Tuning Fork" template for the trailer deck cut from 1/8" masonite. It came out awesome! Now I just have to remove the plywood tomorrow after work and get ready for the Black on Saturday. After that dries I'll get the logo done in White on Sunday. The decals from Dirty will also be applied Saturday as well.
 
Just called the P.O. in NYC and WOW! I just want to climb a tower with a high powered rifle!!!!!

I gave them the tracking number and asked why it was at a standstill there for 3 days now. She proceeds to tell me that it was being sent back to the sender because they wrote the wrong Zip Code on the package!!! Are you F'ing kidding me???!!!! I told her that you mean they can't go online and put the address in and correct it?! She said yes, they could do that, but they don't. If the sender writes the wrong zip code it gets sent back. BLOOD PRESSURE RISING!!!! DEADLY LEVELS!!!! I told her that that is the most stupidist thing I ever heard and that shows just how LAZY you people are and I don't feel the least bit sorry that they are closing Post Offices at a high rate and you guys are losing your jobs!! Completely Outrageous!!! I'm at a loss for words. I need to calm down and go back to work!
 
Oh man that really sucks! I had a similar thing happen to me when I ordered a cover for my Asus tablet. Package showed out for delivery and then for no particular reason it was returned to sender. Took me two weeks to finally get another one, but wasn't really the fault of the sender. The PO is so inefficient. At least UPS or FedEx will try to fix the address so that the package can be properly delivered.

Luckily that was the Reservoir Sock and not the Clutch Line. Otherwise I would have had a fit!

Update>>>>> I called the PO Main Depot and spoke to a Supervisor. I told him the story and he apologized and said that it's NOT their policy to send items back. They are supposed to change the address and get it to it's destination. He also knew exactly who I spoke to in the morning and I told him how nasty she was so hopefully he will do something about it.

Anyway, he asked for the tracking number and proceeds to tell me that it was impossible that the package was sent back because it was scanned in at 8:40am in the Bronx depot and out for delivery!!! HELLOOOO?????? WTF!!! So ten minutes later the mail lady walks in with the package! Hahaha!! You just have to laugh! And they wonder why the P.O. is going under!

Yeah! Good deal. Let us know how it turns out. I spoke to the seller today as well and he is going to file a complaint as well because when the package came, the address was totally correct!! Not one thing wrong with the Zip Code. He told me that that it wasn't the first time this had happened and that he's glad that I didn't just go and give him bad feedback before finding out the truth. Anyway, now if I can get my line I'll be happy! Congrats on getting back your baby!
 
Good Lord! I hope that doesn't happen with me Billy. I'm on the Partshark waiting list. I know they aren't the fastest because they are just a middleman and have to order things themselves... But at least after the wait, I pray it gets here and isn't sent back! This is for the fork overhaul BTW... new springs, new oil..... may as well have new seals, o-rings and gaskets. These won't be revisited for a while! I'm at 14.7k miles right now.

So is the line the very last thing you need? Do you have the rebuild stuff already?

Yes, I'll be rebuilding the Slave tomorrow with pictures of course! The line, I just heard. is leaving today, so I should have it early next week. Then it's time to RIDE!!! FINALLY!!!

IMO the post office is just like the DMV it is so inefficient it blows my mind, especially in large areas. But I have had the post office deliver a package after the recipient gave me the wrong zip code. I am very lucky to have a friendly and helpful DMV and Post office in the small city I work in.

Wow! Is that far from the Bronx?, cause I'm willing to travel to finally get some better service! :disapproval:
 
I also have the Clutch Slave Kit, the Reservoir Sock for my Brake Reservoir, and two Name Sets with my nickname for my Windshield which were made by Bill Dunstan of Dunstan Graffixs. Sorry Dirty, I didn't want to bother you with making these. I had spoke to Bill 1-1/2 months ago to make these for me before we spoke about the "Yamahauler" decals. I have my paint, brushes, and rollers, all ready for tomorrow!

I'm sorry D. I had already had the name set all ready with Bill. He is the guy who I've been getting all my Rim Stripes from for years now. I didn't want him to think I forgot about him. He has done many favors for me over the years so every now and then I give him some business and send him some business as well. He's a great guy and runs a good business. What's a Spraymask by the way?? I never heard of that???
