O2 sensor connector

Hi all,

does anyone know where I can get the connector of the o2 sensor to the wiring harness? I would need both female and male part.
I was looking at PartShark and other stores but none listed only the connector and I found no indication on the connector so I could search the electronic stores.

If anyone has them from a wrecked Fz1 Gen II and would part form the connector, I would buy it.

You normally use an O2 eliminator when ou take out your O2 sensor (because you have installed a PCIII or PCV when you also put on a new can or other intake/exhaust component) and you don't want the stock O2 sensor compteting with the new signals sent from the fueling computers. You should be able to get them from Power Comander.

My idea was to make a y connection and a switch which allows me to change between eliminator and O2 sensor. The Fz1 ECU is only in a small but important rpm range in close loop and fights the PC. However in cold weather the ECU makes the bike incredible rich when no O2 sensor is connected and performance as well as mpg suck. I would have 2 PC maps one where the closed loop rpm range is set to zero and which is used with the O2 sensor and the other map would be for warmer weather with my standard map and O2 eliminator.

Sounds like your problem is in the map your running now. Mine with the eliminator is rich at start up in cold weather but when the engine warms up it's right where it needs to be. last ride got 40 mpg and it doesn't lack power. All it's going to do is lean out the mixture, instead of using all the switches and connectors i would just run a leaner map in cold weather. much more simple.

The problem is that I have no idea how lean I should make the map, the compensation seems huge. I have about 3-4 mpg less than when it is hotter. The engine is at 160F and stays there all the time.

I would prefer to have the O2 so that the ECU compensates this, the PC is a very primitive thing when you only use TPS. Imagine you have a longer slow traffic zone and running the lean map. In slow traffic the engine temp will increase and the ecu will lean out the mixture by itself now with the already lean map you risk damaging the engine.

Of course it seems very difficult to get the connectors, if I have them its a 10 min job to make the adapter and maybe another 1h to install everything. That's ok because afterwards I would never have to worry and could switch in one second from the switch on the handlebar.

You could also try giving Graves a call, they race Yamaha's and offer some racing wiring harnesses . Maybe they can source a connector for you.

I also just looked at a 04-06 wiring harness on Ebay for 25$. That MAY have the same connector.

Ok thanks guys, I will try some junkyards, 15$ for one connector is a bit much, I saw the male part on ebay but somehow not the female.
