Few new parts!!

Whats going on all-

I just picked up my first Fz1 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it!

Little history of the bike-

It had one owner before me who only rode it to work then ended up trading it in for a cruiser. I found the bike on craigslist for 3995, so the following day i went to check it out with cash in hand. The bike was listed for 4800 on the showroom floor. So long story short- I ended up negotiating a hell of a deal with the dealership to a total price of 4170.00 out the door with all fees included.

The bike-
2006 silver Fz1 with 9000 miles
Perfect Condition
Needed a new rear tire.

Since owner ship-
First mod was the fender eliminator
Installed new Michelin Road Pilot 2 (love it)
Just ordered shogun frame and swingarm sliders
2011 Shoei RF-1100

Hopefully this summer-
Trc or Suono exhaust
New Saddle
Higher wind screen

Hellow, and welcome to the Forum. Good that you were able to talk the dealer down a bit. You probably got it for what he gave the guy who traded it in.

It is by far the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. The ventilation has been superb in the colder temperatures. Cant wait to see how it fairs out when ever the warm weather decides to come around!

I will also sing the praises of the Shoei RF-1100. I've only had the chance to ride in mine about 3-4 times, but already love it. I'd highly recommend the pin-lock visor and insert if you ever ride in cool weather. (it won't fog) What color or graphic did you get? I picked up the Diabolic Revelation TC-5

I'd also recommend the Fire Dragon Brother's adjustable levers. I like them and they are inexpensive.

I hope to get some Michelin Pilot Road 2 or 3's next year.

Ill look into the levers once i get some spare spending cash, thanks for the heads up.

Heres my RF-1100, i couldn't resist the flat black. It goes with the bike well too!

 
Hi Cruisen286, Welcom to the Forum, your garage wall says you are a good owner of your bike! Bright Silver wow shes nice. I have the Yamaha poster of your bike in my computer room It gives me good vibes to look at it when Im online.

Im really not looking forward to getting all the bug splatters off it, but i guess ill do what has to be done. I already have a nice yellow splatter where the front vent is :tdown:

I only wish i could ride it more! Being a student makes it tough to ride a lot, but at least it has a nice comfortable garage to sleep in while Im at school. So in tern- i do my best to get a fix from the forums :yes:

Welcome cruisen ! Nice Ride !! You will like the forum here. Great guys, and gals too. I am currently between FZ's (sold my BLACK one) but hope to have another one soon !! Again, welcome to the club !! 8^)
