I found a great product for restoring that new appearance, the Birchwood/Casey gloss black pen. It's like a Sharpie on steroids. They sell them at gun shops for touching up your finish. Really dressed up an old Katana I'm selling. Maybe a small thing but not for us OCD's that notice.
