New member from MA

Like the title states, new member from MA. I bought a 2009 Yamaha Fz1 about a month ago, put around 1500 miles on it so far, bike seems pretty fun, definitely needs some suspension help though..... No stranger to bikes, this makes motorcycle number 38, I think... I was looking for something a little tame and more comfortable coming from a 2006 Suzuki Gsxr1000. I have added a few parts so far, SW Motech brackets and a Givi E55 top case, Two Bros titanium slip on, corbin, power bronze touring screen. Wife and I just did a 1k mile, 4 day trip through upstate NY, VT, NH and MA this past weekend.

I have the same bike in the same color. I added an aftermarket seat and 1.5" riser inserts to reduce neck cramps. How is the touring screen? I agree the suspension could use some work, especially two up, but is much better than my previous Kaw 500r and Honda VT100 and nice and tight solo.

I also run synthetic oil exclusively for longer fluid life and smoother shifting. Mineral oil simply does not hold up to the hot engine, especially in South Florida. I am thinking of using Engine Ice coolant to lower the temperature.
