I just got a 2007 FZ1 today. It has the yamaha lower fairing kit and optional seat yamaha offered everything else is stock. I have not got to ride it yet due to it storming out. I am upgrading from a 2005 fz6. I am sure I will have some questions for you guys. I will post some pics when I get them

Welcome and congrats! What color is she??
 
Make sure you do not over throttle and let it get away from you. You go over 8k RPMs without enough following distance you could find some trouble. Also watch it does not throw you backward and off if you over throttle. Learn the new bike and take it easy at first.
