G day all, Does anyone have any advice on a new set of grips for my FZ1. I've looked at the Rizoma ones and a set called D3. I like the look of the Rizoma ones but i have heard they are not very comfortable on long rides...

Rizoma's are billet tubes with rubber overlay. The Driven D3's are actually rubber with billet collars that slide over. I have both on different bikes and the Driven's are definitely more comfortable. They are, however, more difficult to install as the Rizoma's are a loose fit until you tighten the set screw while the rubber Driven's are thin and with the collars preinstalled quite difficult to push onto the bars / throttle tube without some chemical help (brake parts cleaner does the trick nicely). Neither of these grips are as comfortable as some of the thicker more "standard" options out there. Have fun!

Thanks heaps ,I actually purchased both the D3 and the Rizoma grips. I'm still up in the air as to which ones to install. Also Tell me how do the smaller secondary flies go, I'm assuming you got them from Cooperdawg. I have his Speed screen, Gutted the Kat and the Lars air box mod. There's nothing like his products here in Australia, Regards Jim.

Secondary flies are from Ivan's Performance Products
along with the FCE and map for the Power Commander. There is plenty of reading to be done on the flies and other performance modifications for the FZ1. Check out the archives of this and particularly the other site (yanahafz1oa) The "package" of mods on my bike not only adds a HUGE amount of raw power but also transforms smoothness and throttle quality.

Your mods will likely require either a power commander or a ECU reflash in order to work to properly.
