Hello, I just bought an '06 FZ1S as I'm trying to wean myself off of sports bikes. After trying a few the Yamaha feels good, with a few mods it should be perfect. Looking at the wealth of info on this site I'll have plenty to choose from.

It has a Yoshi slip on, a Corbin seat & maybe the gearing has been altered as it seems to rev real easy. I fitted an X type gear indicator which seemed to programme ok & when I turned the ignition back on it cycled through the gears 1-6 no drama, but on starting the engine & engaging 1, that was ok but changing to 2 still showed #1 on the indicator. I will have another look this weekend.
 
Hey, I am also from Perth. Iooked at gear indicator and would like to now about the install method. I also changed from sportsbike to naked bike, really enjoying sofar
