New from Okinawa

Good morning!

I will be the proud owner of a 2014 FZ1 this time next week so I decided to join here and learn more about it. This will be my first Yamaha, normally a Kawasaki man but since I'm on Island and couldn't ship my bike thought I would try something different.

You will enjoy the bike, there is a lot that can be done to improve it as well. There is lots of information on this forum to help you along the way.

Good morning and welcome. I agree with Dicko, there's a lot that can be done to improve it. I'd start after the first ride, with ordering a new shock, 5mm longer than OE, then dropping the forks, which is a 15 minute job even for a beginner
Then a -1/+2 gearing change
