New 4 wheeled toy....

Thanks!

Finally got my license plates today... it's funny how much I've done before I had plates on the car...

Next on the list is cleaning up some wiring from a crappy alarm system that the previous owner installed.. and changing out the rubber driveshaft couplers for some nice billet units.... and then,a bunch of dyno runs and a custom tune from the folks at Arrington Motors down in Martinsville, VA.... It has a tune on it now... but I think it can do a bit better....

Sweet car dude! Ditch them slowmasters and get some Mac flow path or some type of straight through design and you may get another 10-15hp at the tires. Flow's are proven to rob power even at stock levels.

Buddy of mine went from 860hp with Mac flow paths to 840hp when he put flowmaster 40's on his fox.

Aaron what kind of changes did you see after the tune?

The tune that's on it now came on the car when I bought it. With the cam and head work, that dyno sheet in post 1 is showing 406.5 HP at the rear wheels. Bone stock, the car is 425HP at the engine. Typically closer to 370ish at the rear wheels. But, I think that the tune that's on it is just a pre-made downloadable tune. My reason for thinking this, is that with a proper tune, you get great power, and no check engine light. I've got a check engine light for High Voltage on the front O2 sensor. I replaced the sensor, and still have the same light after resetting the engine codes... High voltage is typically caused by having too much fuel, and standing at the back of the car, there's no question that she's running quite rich. With a custom tune, (CMR tune) I shouldn't have a check engine light, and should be able to squeak out a few more HP than with the current "canned' tune.

Yep. Did that. I cut off the Flowmaster 50's and welded up some nice Magnaflows. It's quieter around town and at cruising speeds, but she gets rowdy on hard accel. The video I posted from shooting off the back of the car with my GoPro is with the Magnaflows. You can see that I completely haze the tires on the 1 to 2 shift... It's hard to tell from the video, but I let off at 80mph. It gets there quick.

I guess that depends on what the stock muffler is. I put a 3" super 40 on the wife's 5.3 trailblazer and took the other 40" of 2 mufflers off it, it picked up a lot of get up.
