Need advice for a West Coast trip

Just checked the weather and it will be sunny / windy along the coast in the afternoon. After Ave of the Giants you will be back on 101 south.

After Cloverdale take Exit #518 on to Dutcher Creek Rd to right at the T on Dry Creek Rd toward Lake Sonoma. This will become Skaggs Springs Rd. A great road over to the coast.

Hang a left on 1 at the ocean and head south. This will take you across the Golden Gate Bridge and into San Francisco where you will make your way over to Fremont.
 
Welcome to Humboldt County! It's drizzling right now, which means it'll be hotter then hell inland! I believe I PM'ed you about all the great rides around here....enjoy your ride!
 
I'm in Fort Bragg and it's sunny and lovely. I took the Avenue of the Giants and then busted west to the coast via Hwy 1. The whole way was amazing and the easily best road I have ever done. Making my way to Fremont slowly and will soak up all the sun I can
 
Arrived in Fremont. Tomorrow is a day to relax with friends

I should mention that I reall want to thank the people who made lane splitting legal in California. We can't do it at home but it was an amazing experience and I really don't understand why more places don't allow it. Seems like a no-brainer

Dustin, sorry I missed your call. Yep Lee Vining 1-1:30.Chevron works but there is a world class Whoa Nellie Deli at the Tioga gas station just before 120 meets 395 if your hungry and get there early.
If we get there ahead we may ride up toward the North entrance of Yosemite (where you will exit) to meet you. I'll be on the KTM SMT and my friend is on a GS. We know your rocket!!
Lee Vining is a 1 horse town we won't miss each other.

Lane Sharing really is the best. Looks like you are having an amazing trip, thanks for sharing the pics!!!!

Hey Dustin,

Glad your having a great time. If this week was not insane (work and family) I would have loved to ride with you (on your way East from Freemont) for my first "over 20 mile" ride somewhere.

Enjoy this great trip. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Jeeze, just seen this. Dropping down on the West side Via Hwy 2 the calling for some wet. The next few days after are good. Have a good trip Dustin. I'm just North of Marysville, I'll watch this post, maybe we can meet.
