Did my first audio update on the Mustang. Even with the Shaker 8" subs in the doors base was lacking in my Mustang. Today I added a Kicker 12" Sub and KX amp in the trunk. Amazing what a difference it makes. The amp came with a remote bass control and that was installed under the dash to the right of the steering column. I already have new drop in speakers for the doors and rear deck and will add them over the weekend. My only goal with the door and deck speakers is to get a little better audio quality over stock speakers rather than make it louder.

Awesome! Now you can blast the Bee Gee's loud and proud as you cruise!

Once again, I share your thoughts Brad. I've only ever upgraded car audio for quality, not loudness. I don't even like loud music. Most of the time I drive in silence. Well done!

Off topic, how's Sherry doing on the CBR? Progress?

Do you have a stock head unit? Upgrading that can make all the difference is audio quality of speakers.

Still stock. For me to upgrade my head unit, with the options I want, and retain MS Sync and steering wheel controls I am looking at over $1,500. It is something I plan to do within the next year.

Meh steering wheel controls are a waste IMO. I hate the ones on her jeep, always hitting them on accident. I paid about $950 for my Kenwood but that was about 7 years ago.
