OK, Mike... since I have a blue 09 as well, and you have already practiced... when can I drop my bike of to copy yours!

glad you like it haha nothing big since the fairings, I cut the bracket of the right side passenger peg. I'll put it on after it's powdercoated, It will probably be another week until my next parts come in some of which will also get powdercoated
 
Copperdoawg speed screen!

I got back from a week of fishing a few days ago and had a copperdawg speed screen waiting when I got home. I've heard it before but he really does amazing work the pictures dont do it justice. I tried using heavy duty tape and heavy duty velcro to hold down the wings but that didn't work I ended up using the tiny screws he provided. I didn't want to use the screws that way I wouldn't have to drill the upper fairing but I'm not gonna be taking this off anyway so no big deal. I masked the upper fairing with painters tape and then duct tape under the speed screen so it doesn't scratch the paint but I doubt I'll ever decide to remove it so that was probably overkill
 
modding slowed to a crawl over the winter (car payments and temporary lay offs) but I got a lot done lately. I installed a set of rizoma 22mm bars along with risers from a gz250 that I had powder coated black, finding bars that clear the tank and cd screen was tough but these worked out great. I installed modded flies (from copperdawg) I heard a few nightmares about the tiny screws but I had no issues. I modded the air box, picked up a K&N air filter, blocked the ais, and installed a PCV. Even though the PCV is small I had a hard time getting it to fit under the rear seat because of my gps charger, I rigged up a bracket to band the PCV to and didn’t have to ditch the charger or the tool kit. I also got some rizoma grips and bar ends, cheap “ride it moto” levers, gold windscreen bolts, a tank pad, a sargent seat I picked up from the other forum. Still waiting on a few other parts to get back from powder coating though.
 
You can fit the PCV (and the ignition module for that matter) in the space where the exup motor resides. I used a small plastic box to contain the PC (PCIII in my case) and the IM in this location. Instead you could probably put your GPS charger there.
