hello all, glad to be a part of your forum, now for my first real post, I picked up a 2003 FZ1, liquid silver, 8300 miles, not a scratch on her, mods done so far, yosh slip on, clear led tailights with integrated blinkers, rit dyed my windscreen.

mods coming up, possibly lowering as im a vertically challenged rider
losing mudflap in the back "poses an issue"

on an 03 FZ1 its looking like the mudflap and inner fender are all one piece, anyone know if there is any alternative for removing the flap without having to actually cut the inner fender all up?

FZ1inNH has done a DIY'er modification to the Gen II tail that could apply to your case as well.

As far as a fender eliminator, the one that came at time of purchase with my '01 has the majority of it cut away with just enough left to maintain structural integrity. It goes from the battery box to the mounting tab just in front of the helmet/trunk lock under the seat.
