Mixing oils OK ?

Well what type of oil do you use yamaha suggests 20W50 for warm weather and 10W30 for colder, 20W50 will lube the engine better and last longer. Brand, well i use fullsynthetic because in principle it does not degenerate (so fast) just gets dirty.

I had several Fz and always did 10k km inspections intervals and never had any problems with engine or clutch. My current us model has 32k miles on it and runs very strong. I use 6k miles intervals and synthetic 20W50 oil.

All oil gets dirty - synthetic or not... and at the same rate - depending upon the filter quality.
