Mitigating Salt

It's forecast to be 50F degrees here in Michigan, so I pulled the bike out and am riding to work today (41F right now). I plan to wash my bike this evening, if nothing else, than just to rinse the salt off that is going to stick to the bike.

Any other recommendations for dealing with it so that the salt doesn't damage anything?

A few things.

Use cold water when washing, be thorough. and dry it before putting it away. Any missed salt will only be a problem if the bike is left in a humid enviornment. If it is stored in a garage, don't put the cover on until it is completly dry. If you have a air compressor use a blower nozzle to get the water out from around the bolts, chain, etc. Good idea to clean the chain and lube as well.
