Hi fellows. I was just wondering if anyone out there has modded their mirrors for functionality sake? What I mean is that I'm more concerned about functionality of mirrors as most of my commute is devoted to dodging CHP :D, so has anyone gotten any that are an improvement from OEM they'd like to share info on? Thanks!
 
I put Z1000 mirrors on my bars.

Are you talking about having better view of what's behind you or having a narrower profile?

Ive been wanting to try the bar end mirrors. the stockers are ok, but I would like a better veiw behind me.
 
This thread offers a very effective, free modification. It is what Yamaha should have done in the first place. It took less than a half hour to complete and I ain't real handy. Search the thread and you will find before and after pix. If you go to thread 27 of this posting you will find detailed instructions on the best way to do it.

Looks like a Gen1 only mod?
