Hi Guys
I've just bought a US import FZ1S (07) and it has no main beam 'flash' button on the left hand switchgear.
Does anyone know if I got hold of a UK switchgear, whether the loom would support it, or do they have a different loom from the UK model. The only other difference I've spotted is that the temp gauge reads in fahrenheit. Are there any others anyone knows about?
Cheers

There are many differences in lights, reflectors, emission settings, labeling, etc. I'm surprised you were able to import a US bike and have it titled in your country, usually it is a PITA. Most US bikes don't have the hi beam flasher, I would not assume the wiring loom is set up for this feature by just putting a left grip switchgear on. Celsius temperature and km readings can be switched via the buttons on the gauge cluster.

There are a few American cars imported into Blighty. The importing of bikes is much rarer. As long as vehicle ownership can be proved and the vehicle pass a safety exam (MOT), usually there is no problem. I know a bloke who bought a Suzuki SV1000S out here, rode it and then shipped it to Blighty with no problems.

Even if the loom didnt support it Im sure it wouldnt be difficult to link the wire to the main beam feed from the switch ,,,, I must admit I find this function a bit of a waste of time here in the UK now , as the head lamps are permantly on you cant always see it ,,,,are the us lights permantly on as well ??
