So I got a voyager 1200 in for new brake lines. I got it all worked out, and took it out for a ride. I think I'd be more likely to end up in trouble on that than mine. The thing rides smooth as glass as 90... I didn't realize I was doing 90.
I've never ridden a full sized road couch like that before. Talk about different.

Once you get out of the parking lot, those touring bikes turn into Cadillacs. The steel cradle frame dampens vibration, especially on the previous generation Gold Wings. The owners of the latest say the aluminum frames might be lighter, but are not as smooth.

More weight also means less being blown around. Riding down US1 to Key Largo can be brutal on a light bike because trucks moving in the opposite direction can blow you out of your lane.

Big bikes usually have windscreens, so that means eating less sand, bugs and other road debris.

I think that's a majority of the reason I didn't realize I was doing 90 there was almost no wind. Certainly nothing compared to my fz. It's kinda like being in a convertible, compared to a naked or mostly naked bike.
