So my awesome girl friend bought me a kuryakyn license plate mount helmet lock, for my birthday.

I know my Gen 1 has a lock. It is just hard to use with the passenger pegs and saddlebags attached. The first thing I did was see if my Fz1 key would fit in the lock, and it did. I found instructions on the internet, on how to rekey the lock, to use the Fz1 key. It only took 20 minutes to rekey the lock.

I used all of the pins in the lock. The pin furthest from the key should stick out some. It was filed in the inside groove and on the top just a little. The other pins were rearranged, so that they would lay somewhat flat when the Fz1 key was inserted. Those pins were then filed down flush with lock assemble, when key is inserted.
