Ivan's New ECU Flash Huge Difference

Today I officially became part of the Ivan’s club and I can say it’s beyond my previous expectations. I will start out by saying previously my bike had a very jerky throttle, very terrible shifting and just all around clunky power. Turned out it was actually a Vcycletune when I thought my bike was stock do with that information as you wish. I showed up to ivans and have never met a more straight forward person anyone who says custom service is his weak point is wrong i was treated with nothing but respect and we had endless conversations it was a extremely fun experience. My FZ1 is now flawless all clunky drivability is gone it has very useable power all over and sounds amazing. If you are deciding between anyone to get a tune go to Ivan not Vcyclenut to save a few bucks!
How did you know???

Go to Vcyclenut for sure. Ivan's horrendous customer service alone will tell you all that you need to know. Awesome!

I'll send mine into Ivans once I get back to town.

My 2006 Fz1 had his work done to it, and all the other stuff that's now obsolete with his advancements (I bought it in 2014ish, so these where probably all the first way of doing things mods). My current one has airbox, slip on and had a PC3 that died... and it's never held the same spirit as the other one. The other one was so lively and revved so fast I used the exhaust instead of a horn cause it was faster than using the horn. (Not being that guy, but when they are on their phone and taking your lane...)

I'll try out his air box mod too. My first one was stock and sounded much better. My current one is the old chop it all out mod, and it's not so much an intake noise as it is a cacophony.

Thanks for bumping this post allanayers7 or I wouldn't have found it.

I have Ivan's tune on my 2009 FZ1. I got it a couple years after getting the bike new. It made such a difference and my communications with Ivan were helpful and professional. I'm tempted to send my ECU to him again for the newest version.

Talked to him today. He did mention his current flash is a couple steps up from what it once was. I'll make a topic on it when I get mine back next week. Sure it's all been said before but most of these topics are 10+ years old and when I personally research things it's always nice to see something current.

I have a PCV that has been pro tuned on s dyno, the PC will eventually fail (it’s 15yrs old now) at what point do I bail on it an go back to the stock ecu and get it flashed from Ivan.

The answer most people would say is just run it till it fails. I hear so much about Ivan’s flash don’t want the bikes to get so old snd miss out on it. My 09’ has as least 10-15yrs left in her!

Could get a spare ECU and have that flashed. Or heck, give him a call, it's possible he can take your dyno tune and transfer the information.

Or you can wait, I mean he does tuning professionally so it's not a side gig. And from what i recall his personal bike is an FZ1, so he'd probably be apt to keep being able to modify them over any other model.

Good reply. Thanks.

Got mine back today, I'll do a write up when I can give the bike a full test. A quick 3 minute test though had it pulling waaay better, and had much more low end torque for low speeds.

Had to readjust the idle speed, hopefully I don't have to do anything to the TPS again cause that's now all the way buried under plastics, lol. I'm thinking the bike just had to be running at 1250-1350 RPM and warmed up for this sensor to read correctly when adjusting it.

I will say though, this is what the bike was missing. Even puttzing around at 20-30mph I can notice a pretty intense difference. Ivan was great to work with, explained things well, answered any questions I had. Turn around was a week.

I'll do a proper review after a proper test. When I talked to Ivan on the phone the last thing he said was something along the lines of, "Enjoy your brand new bike." And I can confirm he wasn't kidding.

Hey guys have a question about the tps adjustment temps running normal idle is 1300 rpm tps voltage is -4.33 according to ivans page yellow wire is positive blue/black wire is negative does this sound normal for stock setting thanks

There are 3 yellow wires, make sure you have the right one.

Mine was 0.678 volts stock, -4.33v is off enough I think you might have the wrong yellow wire.

They were pretty close together. Yellow on the top row, black/blue on the bottom, and like 2 or 3 apart sideways.

Also check your voltmeter. I needed a new one. Check it on you battery, should be like 12.4v

Got my ecu back bike is back together
Besides the tune
I have modded air box
Full exhaust Delkevic Headers and a Coffman muffler blue tip
520 conversation 16t/47 t
Results r night and day on the tune it felt peppy before but now I can fell the power just creeping along. Woke the bike up in the lower rpm range for sure thank you Ivan

Give me a call when you have time and we'll get it scheduled.

Thanks
:)
Ivan, I too am interested in your tune. However, I have no idea what I have to do in order to make it happen. I live in Martinez, Georgia (in the Augusta, Ga. area) so the ride to your shop would be a wonderful little day trip. My bike is a 2007 FZ1 with a high flow air filter (unmodified box), and a Leo Vince Slip-On exhaust (disabled cable servo). The bike has never been through a full tune up service. I bought it 2 years ago with 16 hundred miles on it. I now have about 12K miles on it. What all would be needed to fully realize the potential of your tune and do you have a large lead time for your services? I'm new to this forum so I know very little concerning the contact of forum members. Any help you can offer would be kindly appreciated. Thanks
