The only modifications i made were installing turn signals in the headlight housing and painting the inside of the headlights black

The ccfl transformers are garbage. I've had angel eyes on my 08 STI and have gone through about four of them in four years. I bought a six pack of extra transformers; sometimes it is water damage sometimes they just overheat. You can prevent the water damage by coating them with plasti-dip, but there isn't much to be done for the overheating.

Most serious retrofitters have switched away from CCFL, as they are fragile and difficult to work with, and have the inverter issue. I will only install LED angel eyes, will not deal with CCFL, as I see no gain there. LED is the way to go, they are making them so much better, and much easier to install and better durability.
