I had an '06 Ninja 636, dropped it at low speed, the fairings were pretty scratched up so i decided to paint it. The bike had a blakc and gold theme so i stuck with that in the paint. I went to the auto body shop and bought a quart of Ford UA black, this is the standard black they have used for years. I sprayed it on, then in the clear, i mixed 2 different sized gold flake and a pearl flake.
Because this Black had a Green base (Blacks are usually either a Brown or Green base), it brought out the Green base of the paint an ended up looking pretty cool. So if anyone is looking for a cool color, give this a shot. It will go with the FZ1's gold rims quite well. i attached a few pictures to show the color.
