Honda Africa Twin Coming to the U.S.A.!

Looks interesting

It certainly is intriguing. I worry about the type of frame for real off-road and the abuse that heavy "Adventure" bikes take, something I know about.

She is a good looking beast.

This is a shot of the prototype and if you look at the shapes under the mud the production bike shots look identical. This bodes well, since it is a nice high clearance narrow looking machine. Hope it isn't a budget suspension overweight slug as that would be a shame. Hell if it is light and powerfull I may someday be convinced to ride Red. After I wring all the remaining life out of my KTM, that is. I only have 90,000 km on the beast and a whole summer to rack up the kilometers.

The seat is narrow enough at the front for standing and reaching the ground, and the back is flat and wide good for moving around to stay comfortable (no step).

The one under the mud has the optional dual clutch transmission.

Nice high swept muffler to keep it out of the water when fording.

Twin rads with electric fans.

Proper spoke wheels which are far more durable and repairable off road.

A real skid plate? Hard to tell what it is made of under the mud.

Hand guards with aluminum behind and a rear grab (pull) handle / rack.

Radial mounted front brakes and semi-wave rotors all around.

Missing a center stand, but this is a prototype. If you have ever changed a tire/ tube roadside by yourself you would insist on.

The production shots show rubber front foot pegs, the prototype has large off-road metal ones, a must in my book unless you don't go off-road.

Now if it has 100+ horsepower and is under 500 lbs with quality adjustable suspenders they might have a hit on their hands.
