Handlebars wanted, but not sure what year!

I'm in a puzzling predicament. I just picked up a 2009 FZ1 to replace my [crashed] 2008. One of the things I noticed was that the handlebars on the new bike are "flat" compared to the old bike's. I hit my hands on the tank at full-lock, even with the bars rotated up quite a bit. I went out to Partshark to see how much it would cost to put 2008 bars on, but the diagram makes the bars look exactly the same.

I've dug through some of my photos and found a picture that shows the bend that my 2008 bars had. Was I running non-stock handlebars for years? I know it's not the best image, but it's the best I could find fairly quickly.

If anyone has a set of bars that look like that, I'd be interested in them.

The bars on my 08 are flat across the fz8 bars are like the ones in the picture.

The 1

It's not the best pic of the 1 but I had it on my phone. They are flat across but bend back toward the rider a bit.

Well, I'll be damned. I guess I understand now why quite a few people talk about changing the bars.

It's not the riding position that bothers me, it's hitting my hands on the tank at full lock.

Does this happen to everyone who has the stock bars, or is something else misadjusted?

I've never hit my hands. The bars are quite flat , maybe turned upward just a bit? I would try and blame an aftermarket set of low risers but those are also stock in the photo. I'd rotate the bars up a bit at a time and test lock to lock clearance.

OEM flat bars at full lock:

I took a few minutes this morning to rotate the bars a little higher. That required rotating the brake and clutch levers too, but it's much better now. Still looks a little odd to me, and the right bar is so much closer to the tank than the old bars, but it's definitely workable. I might do some minor tweaking, but I don' think that I need to do a handlebar swap.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Just for reference, if that is an actual pic of your current FZ1 above? Those are the OEM risers. ;) Glad to hear is was just adjustments, but either the FZ6 or FZ8 bars will work and are very cheap!

The first picture in the thread was the handlebars on my '08 FZ1 (crashed bike). I'm embarrassed to say that I never realized that I wasn't running stock bars. All the other pictures in the thread are from other members' replies.
