Guns

So, being an avid gun FANatic, I got some great news today.

Korea is sending almost 100,000 M1 Garand's back to the united states. :-D

These were loaner weapons we gave Korea back in the day. This is going to drive the market on M1 Garands down and enable me to get one!

I guess close to 80,000 M1 Carbines are coming over too.

Had a hard choice at the big SAR show his past month. M1 Garand or STG 558. Yeah, I ended up with the Microtech.

From a collector's point of view, I guess if you have the space to house one it's cool but if you are a shooter, a modern firearm can be acquired that will outshoot the M1 by far and do it much more economically. I had an M1 I inhereted from my father-in-law but in actual use it just didn't perform nearly as well as my Ruger. I sold it about ten years ago for $50.

I like Ruger as well. And Smith and Wesson. And Kimber.
