Got myself an 86

I have a BRZ. I picked it up on 5/31 after I pre-ordered it in March.

I love it. It's way more practical than my old MR2 Spyder (MRS).

I have driven with 2 passengers (3 total people including driver), several times, without any comfort issues.

The truck can just fit two full-size suitcases without folding the rear seats.
It can easily fit my road bike with the rear wheel still attached with the rear seats folded down.

My last car was way faster (I swapped a 3.5L V6 into the MRS - 271rwhp, gobs of torque, and 2380 lb after the swap). However the BRZ is just well built. I grow more and more happy with my decision to buy the car every time I drive it. I have the FZ1 for acceleration jollies. The BRZ is just a joy to drive, the steering feel, the ergos, etc are all excellent.

Nice to see a Spyder owner on this forum. One of my good friends built a Spyder race car and was one of the first to have one registered in Canada. It was a 2ZZ swap and it put down 190 RWHP. Stripped out & running KW Variant 3s and R-Compounds, it was a handful to drive. They are completely legal to import now but at the time he had to jump through hoops and used all these loopholes to get it street legal.

I love the Spyder, definitely the best generation of MR2. I had a first generation, an '85. Those are kind of turds, though. Slow & heavy with suspension out the 1960s
