Gen 2 rear wheel on a gen 1

I bought my fz1 and after 3 or 4 months the rear brakes stopped working and my hub was actually coming apart on the bike. So in the process of fixing the hub and redoing all the bearings and getting spacers I discovered that it was a gen 2 wheel. I still haven't fixed the rear brakes (its been over a year) but I've replaced the master cylinder and fiddled about with a few things. I've narrowed it down to either the brake caliper being shot, or the gen 2 brake disc is too different from the gen 1. So does anyone have any insight or pictures of a gen 1 or gen 2 brake caliper or disc?
 
Let me know if you need the other side or a different angle.

It's pretty much smooth right to the edge. That dirt on the edge must have accumulated while the bike has been parked in my carport for the past month and half. Gotta ride more.
That Akrapovic slip-on is nice and quiet. I think I paid a guy on FZ1OA about $120 for it. Bargain.

So the caliper looks the same, but the brake rotor does not, is there any chance you could measure the thickness of yours for me? Im wondering if mine is thinner so my caliper cant grab it properly

Rotor is 4.75mm. I don't know anything about fitting a Gen 2 wheel on a Gen 1, but it is half an inch wider. I would imagine the spacers are different at the very least.

Yeah I dont know anything about it either lol, it seems that my rotor and caliper are the same, and I have the spacing correct. So I have no idea what to try now, I wish I had the $1100 for the proper rear wheel😂

eBay is your friend for cheaper wheels.
 
Is it just the rear wheel that has been changed or the front as well? You should be able to get a good rear for circa $150 -200 delivered. Rears are less likely to be tweaked.

180 tires are cheaper as well.

Its just the rear, i feel like the guy that sold it to me switched it out right before selling the bike cause he didnt have any spacers which led to the there being a 1" gap on the rear shaft and the hub started to come apart on me. I just got new tires a few months ago so maybe ill wait till I need new tires again and see about finding a rear wheel then

I wouldn't ride it again until I solved this problem. You can get all the parts-wheel, rotor, sprocket carrier, sprocket, cush rubber, axle, spacers-for a reasonable amount. As it is, unless you have spacers locking it all into place, your wheel is just moving around on the axle and maybe kinda being held in place by the brake pads on the rotor. It's no wonder the brake stopped working. Very dangerous it seems to me.

Yeah i got spacers and everything is proper, just no rear brakes, I've ridden. It this way for a year and just got around to actually putting some time into trying to fix it. Biggest reason I haven't fixed it is I have no idea what the issue even is

The way it was before might have heated up the caliper beyond what it could take. Could be all kinds of things wrong with the rear brake system. Calipers, master cylinders and rotors are cheap on eBay too.

Yeah im kinda leaning toward the caliper being shot, i know it was seized up pretty bad from not being used for a year, but I got it free and one cylinder compressed faster than the other, im not sure if they're supposed to be even or not though
