gen 2 rear shock

Hi

Im sure I read some where here'(can't find it now ). That an r1 rear shock is a direct bolt and upgrade ,, is this so ?? and is it much of an improvement ? Also what sort of year would I be looking for ?

Not looking for miricles nor do I want to spend megga bucks , so thought this may be the way to go

The R1 shock is not a direct bolt on but Satan makes a adapter. Check out the suspension section on that other FZ1 site. He had a shock with adapter for sale yesterday in the classifieds section for $150. ( other site ) http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=127976
