Filtering through traffic the stock mirrors are just at the level of SUVs mirrors so they had to go & use bar mirrors instead but this left stock mirror mounting area looking bad & had to be covered, after looking at the ebay mirror plugs I found LED turn signals/marker lights that would cover the area nicely, this is the initial fitting but if I drill a hole between the stock holes the signals will cover the area completely. these turn signals are not bright & will require an electronic flasher to slow down the rate of blinking.

That's pretty sweet! I have the same conundrum except that with my convertibars I can't even use the inward mounted bar mirrors, so I'm stuck with bar ends :(

I like the LED covers though.

PS: I'm riding ACH and GMR this sunday. Have you been up there recently? If so, how are road conditions?

Why can't you use inward mounted mirrors? the brake master has a threaded hole & you can buy the clutch perch off a FZ8 with a threaded mirror mount, that's what I did.

I have a brembo front MC and everything is jammed up super tight. I could do a one side off the clutch, but I like having both sides. Right now I have cheapie chinese ones, but I'm saving up for the CRG arrows that you can fold in for splitting and then pop back out for riding.

Neat! You don't have any clearance issues do you? One of the reasons I went with the brembo is that my stock MC/convertibars had clearance issues with the gauge pod when pushed forward as much as I wanted them. I'll probably get this just to try it out though- if I could run inward mounted mirrors I'd be super stoked.

No clearance issues at all BUT the kind of mirrors make a big difference, you want the mirror that goes down as far as possible or else you'll be looking at your elbows, see photo
