Gen 1 risers on Gen 2?

I have them on my r1 conversion that uses the gen2 upper. They just bolt right on and unless you're overly anal, the different shape isn't a big deal.

No, Crazybiker, I still haven't done anything about the scratches on my handlebar or the new ones the shop added to my halfway decently painted G2 upper. I'm leaning towards getting them pc'd.
 
Ok I have rizoma bars, but gen1 risers, tried installing them yesterday, but was sure how I should measure it to drill the holes. From the risers or bar ends?
 
I laid my Rizoma bars alongside my stock bars and noticed the Rizomas were longer. I had to cut 1/2" off the Rizoma bars so that I didn't have to replace all the cables. This made the Rizoma bars the same length as the stock bars & I just lined up the holes to the stock bars and drilled.
