Gen 1 crankcase cover

Hi all. Having difficulty figuring out a part number and hoping somebody might be able to chime in. I am trying to replace the left side crankcase cover on my 03. I need a black cover, but all I seem able to find is silver. The last part number I got was 5LV-15411-00-00. It is silver. Anybody know what part number/year to order for a Gen 1 to get this thing in black? Thanks for any leads.

Your number, 5LV-15411-00-00 fits 01-03.

Try 5LV-15411-10-00 this fits 03-05 it should be black.

Check out Ron Ayres, he has a where used function that I have found very helpful.

Thanks a bunch, NHFZ1. I was wondering about that, as I am pretty sure all the 03-05 bikes have black engines. Anyway, when I asked this of the partshark.com people, they seemed to think it is silver. My instinct tells me you are correct though (with the 10 part number being black). I'm rolling the dice and going that route.
