Gen 1 bypassing clutch switch?

I installed a motocross ez pull style clutch perch/lever on my Gen 1. Clutch pull is now much lighter, but the perch doesn't have a spot for the clutch switch. Is there an easy way to bypass the switch? I was thinking just splicing to 2 wires in the clutch switch plug together, but the switch itself is grounded so im not sure if that will work.

Don't know on the fz but my old duc I just jumped the wires together. It had some stupid start quirk so I bypassed the neutral safety switch.
