FZ1 Suspension

It would depend on your riding style. If you plan on dragging knees thru the corners I would look at replacing the rear shock at the least. If not you will be good to go!
 
Totally agree with Krispy. The rear shock is truly the weak link on the FZ1 for performance riding. I went with Ohlins on mine but I've heard great things about the Penske as well. That being said, if you don't plan to go out knee dragging or go to the track you may be fine on the stock shock. The real difference will be in the setup. Make sure your suspension is set up properly for your weight (either full stock or if you upgrade).
