After absolutely destroying my other '07 FZ1 whacking a 4 point buck, I went out and found a replacement bike about 6 weeks after the crash. After much healing of broken body parts, I was able to swap over all the usable parts to the new bike(used '07). I still have a Melotti fender eliminator and Star front rotors to swap over yet. The new (to me) bike has 3,500 miles and is in fine shape. I've been able to ride it 4 times so far. Here's a photo of the crasher and my new bike.

fz1project11 would LOVE to get the entire sub-frame from you for cheap if you still have it. He needs the WHOLE tail (if yours is still straight?). ;) Might you still have the whole thing?

Great looking replacement! Congrats on a nice find and certainly glad you're back on two wheels.

That's gonna be one sweet bike once you get rid of that ugly ass license plate set-up. Glad to hear you're recovering well and are back on 2 wheels again!

Glad to see you're back on an FZ1 and it's even the same color. You can just fool people and tell them you fixed your "old bike" ;)

Excellent !! A nice addition and I'm glad you are feeling better and riding again . . .:woot:

I too crashed. It was my black '01. I fixed it. Sold it. Then, missed it terribly. Found Billy's black '01 and it was so similar, and it brought back many pleasent memories, so I bought it from him.

Best motorcycle move I made in years . . . . well, one of the best, :cloud9:heh,heh,
