Went for my first mountain ride recently and just wanted to share a quick report about an awesome biking road here in NC. It takes place on Hwy 80, Hwy 226 =, and The Blue Ridge Parkway. My motorcycle groups leaves from Charlotte NC and end in the same location but thats not the fun part. LOL
We did catch a little light rain on the ride up but it cleared up as the day progressed and ended up being a very nice day. This ride has tons of tight turns and long sweepers! There is one section called "The Devils Whip" that has a 2000 ft elevation change in just 12 miles! The northern most point of this ride is Little Switzerland where we stopped in the Switzerland Cafe for lunch. Great food by the way!
