Hi i am thinking of changing my front sprocket to 16t if so will the speedo be out and by how much thanks

A few of us have changed. Thus far, it seems to be a correction of -10.3% to -10.9% depending on tire wear. So, I'd split the difference at -10.6%. Are you going to put in a speedo healer or SpeedoDRD (Cheaper and works great)?
Also, order the Yamaha OEM 16T sprocket from a Gen I bike (Any year will work) as it has the stock rubbers to keep the chain quiet.

Go 16t, probably cheapest and best mod. I run a 55 profile tyre, therefore the smaller sprocket & bigger profile cancelled each other out. No difference in the speedo for me, mind you i haven't checked it with GPS.

I agree, did a long trip recently and found about ten percent difference, have not bothered correcting it though.
