Hi,does anyone know how many ml of fork oil to put into each front fork according to the manual?? Is Maxima 15w a good fork oil or something thinner like 10w??? I find the front fork a bit soft.

From the workshop manual
Quantity: 545.0 cm³ = 545.0 ml (18.43 US oz) (19.18 Imp.oz)
Recommended oil: Yamaha Suspension oil 01 or equivalent
If you are going to use Maxima oil then the most similar to the original yamaha oil are these two
Maxima Fork Oil 5w and Maxima Racing Fork Fluid (85/150, 5w)
So 15w is a bit to much, personally I would maybe go for Maxima 7.5w if I wanted yo make it a little bit less soft.

I went with a 10WT oil and maybe should have gone with a 7.5WT instead. The ride is a little too hard. I'm going to put the forks back to stock settings and see if that helps a little.

Thicker oil is not the wat to go with these forks... 5 or 7.5 flows through the valves much easier, allowing for the forks to be more responsive.... thick oil doesn't flow as well and they will be less responsive, giving more of a jarring ride....

Thanks Aaron, when I was doing the forks I didn't even think about 7.5WT so I went straight to 10W. I'll probably just redo them before Deals Gap.

can fork oil viscosities be mixed to come up with a custom tune ?

Probably, but it would take a lot of testing to come up with the correct ratio of the different weights. It's really not worth it...
