Frame Recall?

Has anyone heard about a frame recall for gen 2's. Talked to a guy i work with today he said his brothers fz1 frame crack. Took it to a local dealer near us and a yamaha rep came out and looked at it and they stood behind it and yamaha gave him a new frame for free. He said there was a recall on the frames. Just curious if anyone has heard of this recall.

There is no official recall on gen 2 FZ1's. I know this as I had to prove to the Canadian authorities that all recalls had been done ,before I could import the vehicle into Canada. There are no Gen 2 recalls as per Yamaha USA or Yamaha Canada.
AFAIK They will, however replace frames on a case by case basis.

What year bike was it? some 2006 & 2007 model gen 2s had a problem with the frame cracking
