Flo Stainless Steel Reusable Oil Filter Review

Well engineered, but good for only a small segment of riders because of the price. I don't even have a place to clean out a filter, I just pour the oil out and stick it in the box the new filter came in. It would be good for professionals or if it is a hassel to buy new filters all the time.

I actually kind of want one of these. I'm a huge fan of buying quality once instead of disposables. For $95, it's steep, but considering all the mods that I've bought for my bike, the advantage/$ ratio is really not that bad.

If I had a cleaning or wash cabinet like we had at the dealership, I'd be really interested in one.

Without an easy, thorough way to clean the element, the concept seems to lose a lot of its appeal.

Like others have said, if you had a place to clean and wash the element it may make sense, but for guys like me who change the filter in their garage I don't have a place to do it right. And for those that sometimes park their bikes outside or overnight I can see this being a thief magnet. I'll stay with my K&N for $10+, but it is a nice product.

Can`t see the big deal about having the room to wash out the filter, you would only need a 2ltr plastic container eg a used icecream container etc then just pour the contents into the old oil that came out of the bike,I would most likely use a air compressor to help clean it out, but even that`s not necessary

Neat but not cost effective IMO. It would take almost 20 oil changes at $5 per filter (HiFloFiltro)
A yamaha filter here in Australia is $20+,I am not convinced about HiFo filters, not enough filtering material, but proberly fine,If you sell your bike these filters will fit many other makes eg honda, kawasaki etc, just swap with a normal filter and take your stainless reusable one with you
