First ride 2012!

If anybody saw my snivel and whine over in the FZ1 girls section, and took pity on a poor Oregon gal and sent good weather, THANK YOU!!

We had a day that wasn't freezing or raining or snowing or fogging, and got to get the bikes off and knock the rust off our skills. Just under a 100 mile trip out to Siuslaw Falls and back.

And the falls. Lots of water moving through. La Nina has given us little rain until two weeks ago, when we had record rainfalls.

And hard to believe, but this pool is about 30 feet upstream of the falls:

I also couldn't resist the temptation yesterday. I was working on something in my shed and realized the roads were dry, the sun was out and the shed is already open. Why not get this bike out and have some fun?

Beautiful country... I lived in Willamina for a spell, I'll always remember my time in Oregon. Hopefully will get a coast ride in this summer.
